To better understand the current landscape of task management tools, I analyzed platforms like Trello, Todoist, Evernote, and Atlassian. Each was reviewed for its Unique Selling Points (green), core features (yellow), and user testimonials (purple).
I captured screenshots of their interfaces to visually compare design approaches and user journeys. This helped highlight what works well across the industry and where there are opportunities for improvement in terms of usability, visual hierarchy, and feature prioritization.
This analysis directly informed the direction of the app, especially in crafting a cleaner interface and building more intuitive user flows.
To gain a broader perspective on the task management landscape, I created a platform comparison chart covering four leading tools—Trello, Todoist, Evernote, and Atlassian.
Rather than focusing solely on features, this chart includes a variety of key product aspects that influence the overall user experience:
Built-in Templates
Meeting Deadlines
Task Priority
Search experience
Paper experience
Note-taking
Navigation
Recommendations
Price
Rating
(Play store)Website experience
This analysis helped highlight what users are already accustomed to and what gaps exist, informing which elements to retain, improve, or rethink in the product strategy.
